LIVING IN PRAGUE 4 – PODOLÍ, BRANÍK , LIBUŠ, HODKOVIČKY, HRNČÍŘE, ŠEBEROV, KUNRATICE

Some parts of Prague 4 used to have bad reputation with mass of communist – built high rise housing (panelaks) mainly in Chodov and Háje (Jižní město). However due to provocative and widely discussed new projects in Pankrác, Prague 4 is rapidly changing into the new business and trade centre of Prague.
Hodkovičky, Podolí, Braník are located southeast of central Prague and particularly Hodkovičky is a region renowned for its beautiful parks and classical villas set in beautiful grounds.

The expatriates, who decided to live in this area (or in Průhonice), favour the area for specific reasons such as short distance to their company’s seats, sport facilities (the largest swimming pool in Prague), pleasant forest walks, but mostly the school is determinant. These districts are very popular with young or pre-school age children, because of the kindergarten and English school situated locally.

Průhonice is a pleasant village minutes from the Prague – Brno highway, with innovative cafés, restaurants and hotels. This new community makes for a quick commute to the centre of Prague. Adjacent to the Průhonice State Park (with beautiful gardens and lakes), residents can easily escape from the fast pace, working in a major metropolitan area. Just a short drive away, residents enjoy the convenience of a suburban style shopping area.
